Simon Cowell signs 10-year-old 'amazingly talented' Heather Russell who was discovered and mentored by Rob Fusari.
February 17th 2011

Heather Russell has won the attention of Grammy-winning producer, Rob Fusari.

Soon after, Bieber, now 16, was signed by Braun's joint venture with R&B megastar Usher: Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG). Russell appears to on the fast track to following suit. Her mother has confirmed the partnership with Fusari has helped her daughter score a record deal.

A talented pianist, Heather wrote her first song on the piano at eight, and now, after posting a clip of her single Every Step of the Way on YouTube last July, has earned herself a megabucks contract and is on the way to becoming a global superstar.

A spokesman for Simon Cowell's company Syco UK said: "Simon just loved her. He said she was amazingly-talented from the first time he saw her."

'Simon will put his stamp on her, but there is something about this child. She is a natural entertainer and sings for all the right reasons.'

It was a treat for a standing room audience when Jnay and Angie opened the ceremony with their Platinum single, Empire State of mind with Grammy award, Multi-Platinum Fusari accompanied on the piano. The girls were emotional because it was Rob who they first had listen to Empire State of Mind and he told them immediately they had a huge hit on their hands.

Singer Connie Francis heads home to New Jersey to remake 'Where the Boys Are'
Posted by Lisa Rose/The Star-Ledger on May 9, 2010 at 10:07 AM

Connie Francis visited her hometown of Newark recently to record vocals on a dance version of her signature hit, “Where the Boys Are,” from the 1960 film of the same title. She is working with producer Rob Fusari of Livingston, who mentored Lady Gaga early in her career (and sued her in March for unpaid royalties). Francis is a longtime friend of Fusari’s mother so she decided to team up with him reinventing the song for new audiences, timed to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
